Built with stone from Hadrian’s Wall, this 18th century semi detached cottage is situated on a working livestock and arable farm in the hamlet of Halton Red House. Beautifully restored, the cottage is full of character, with the old kitchen range and inglenook fireplace still intact, the house sits almost on top of the original Hadrian’s Wall and is ideally situated on Military Road, which is perfect for exploring the Roman Wall.

Boasting panoramic views, and with Kielder Water, Northumberland National Park, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, and Northumberland’s fantastic heritage coastline all within easy reach, the house is in a great place for exploring what Northumberland has to offer.

The house has two bedrooms: one kingsize double and one twin. It has a bathroom with a bath, integrated shower, basin and toilet. The house also has a wet room with a walk in shower, a basin and a toilet. The open plan living space includes a modern fitted kitchen and dining space, with a spacious sitting room including the quaint inglenook fireplace and also benefits from a gas fire.

The house is situated just five minutes from the lovely Roman Town of Corbridge, which is surrounded by the delightful unspoilt countryside of Northumberland. The cottage has full oil central heating along with the gas fire in the living area. The kitchen features an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. The living space includes a TV with Freeview, DVD player with DVDs, a stereo and a library of books and DVDs. All fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, and there is off road parking available for two cars. A pub and restaurant can be found within a mile, and the shops in Corbridge are just 3 miles away.
