Situated in the small hamlet of Drift just two miles from Newlyn, this stone built terrace cottage is full of character. The traditional cottage, which is on the road to Land’s End, is a great choice for exploring Cornwall. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable dining room which benefits from a wood burner, ideal for a cosy evening in. The house bursts with character with its stone walls, fireplace, wooden beams and oak flooring.
For those who like to fish, the Drift Reservoir is nearby, where you can fly fish for trout. Also not far from the cottage is the picturesque coastline around Porthcurno, with plenty of beaches and coves to venture in to, as much of the area is part of the National Trust. The white sandy beaches of Sennen Cove and Gwynver Beach at Whitesand Bay are also nearby and are a popular choice with surfers. For those that like to explore, there is a great cliff walk which ventures south of Whitesand Bay over the Mayon Cliff to Land’s End, along which there are many natural and man-made attractions. A must-see whilst visiting Cornwall is the spectacular open air theatre on the cliffs at Minack, along with the beautiful harbour at Mousehole, which is very popular during the festive season due to its brilliant lights.
The cottage has one king sized double bed with a TV. The groundfloor bathroom contains a bath with an integrated shower, a basin and a toilet. As well as the sitting area with a wood burner, the property boasts a sunny enclosed courtyard garden, with furniture and a BBQ, great for relaxing after a day walking the coastline.
The cottage has storage heaters throughout, along with the wood burner. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer and a washing machine. The living area contains a TV with Freeview and a DVD player with a selection of DVDs. All fuel, power, a starter pack for the fire, bed linen and towels are included, off road parking is available for one car, and a shop and pub can be found within two miles.
